When someone yells, “Birthday!” the League of Liberal Libations members answer that primal call to go out and get over served — no matter who it is, what else may be going on, and if it’s a Sunday. Tacoma karaoke legend Colin celebrated his birthday Sunday at Jazzbones. The League was there.
Dressed in a “Dogs Playing Poker” smock, Colin mingled with the near capacity crowd — a who’s who of Tacoma lounge lizards. Deborah Page and Paul Uhl played tight and moving indie rock followed by karaoke until the joint closed. Colin ended the night with a little Tom Waits followed by the entire crowd pretending to be the Ramones. Happy Birthday Colin! Thanks for a slow Monday. — Brad Allen
